Are You Sitting On A Nail?

A guy was walking down the street one day and saw an elderly man in a rocking chair on his porch.

Beside him was a whimpering and moaning old dog.

The guy was curious, so he asked, "What's wrong with your dog?"

The elderly man replied, "He's sitting on a nail."

Puzzled, the guy wondered, "Well why doesn't he get off of it?"

The old man said, "I guess it ain't hurtin' bad enough yet."

P.S. What does it mean to be sitting on a nail?

Is payday painful for you?

Do you have more month than money?

Do you have enough savings in your retirement account?

If your car breaks down or you need to go to the emergency room, do you have enough money to pay the bill?

Do you dread going to work on Monday?

Is it dark when you drive to work in the morning and even darker on your way home?

Do you tolerate poor behavior from your boss, because you need the money?

Do you find yourself saying, "Thank God it's Friday!" and looking forward to the weekend?

Have you missed baseball games or dance recitals, because you had to work?

In other words, are you sitting on a nail?

How long have you been sitting on it?

Is it time to do something about it?
