Chapter Seven - Napkin Presentation # 7 - Where To Spend Your Time

Below is a graph showing where you should spend your time. At the beginning, one hundred percent of your time should be invested in sponsoring people.

"But," you ask, "should I not be spending my time training, as the first few weeks are supposed to be my training month?"

You are correct.

Remember, however, your sponsor helping you to sign up a new person is part of your training. Even though your sponsor does the work, you still get credit for signing up a new person.

In network marketing, you can sponsor someone into the business as soon as you have been sponsored.

When you first get into network marketing, your business is you.

If you want your business to be successful, you must find five serious people to sponsor. (You may have to sponsor more than five people, in order to find five serious people.)

As time goes on, you will spend less time personally sponsoring people.

Why?

When you find one serious person...then two serious people…then three...then four...and when you have five serious people, you no longer spend your time looking for people to sponsor.

Invest your time teaching those five gold ships how to sponsor. Teach them to teach their people to sponsor. When they are three or four levels deep in their business and no longer need you to help them, then you can replace them by looking for another serious person to sponsor.

When you have five serious people, you should be spending ninety-five percent of your time working with them, 2.5 percent of your time servicing the customers you have from your friends, and 2.5 percent of your time planting seeds.

This way, when one of your five serious people are "harvested" and don't need to be "watered and cultivated" any more, you can then work with the "seeds" you planted and help them to "sprout."

You should be aware that products are moving through your business one hundred percent of the time. This is a natural result of working with your people.

Summary: In the beginning, when you first sign up in network marketing, all of your time should be invested in sponsoring new people.

To be successful, you must find five serious people to sponsor.

Next, teach those five serious people how to sponsor. You should spend most of your time working with them. Help them go three levels deep in their business.
