If You're A Middle-Aged Man Suffering From An Injured Shoulder, Please Read...
It was the week of Thanksgiving.
I woke up early one morning and saw the big pile of wet, heavy leaves in the corner of the back yard.
They had been there for quite awhile. I decided it was time to bag them.
After I dragged the bags to the street, I hauled them to the local dump.
Finally finished, I took a shower and ate lunch. It had been a good workout. I was tired, but satisfied.
That night I went to bed feeling fine. When I woke up the next morning, however, my right shoulder was bothering me.
I must have strained it while bagging the leaves. I figured it would quickly heal itself.
November turned into December and then came January. My shoulder continued to hurt and was not getting any better.
It was now February and three months since I had injured my shoulder.
It hurt when I lifted my arm over my head.
I did not dare reach towards the back seat of the car or a searing pain would shoot through my arm.
While sleeping at night, my shoulder would bother me. When I first woke up in the morning, it would really hurt to move it.
I struggled while getting dressed, being extra careful as I put my arm through my shirt sleeve.
I was now beginning to wonder if I had truly messed up my shoulder.
I knew someone close to my age who had shoulder surgery. (He could no longer swing a golf club.)
I absolutely did not want a surgeon cutting on me. So I had to do something about it.
Every night before going to bed, I would put magnesium lotion on my shoulder.
Several times a week, I went outside and did different range-of-motion exercises. I would also walk to the park and hang from the playground bars.
Another thing I would do is get in the shower, turn on the water as hot as I could stand it, and slowly move my arm around in a circle.
Every day I would eat more protein. (The foundation for building muscle.)
Nothing seemed to work. My right shoulder was not getting any better. It seemed certain that I was soon going to be visiting a specialist.
Then one day I decided to try these patches. They sorta look like a round band aid. A white dot.
I put several of them on my shoulder. I did not expect much, but thought it was worth a try.
After several weeks, I woke up one morning and noticed my shoulder was not hurting as much anymore.
Another week went by and I could raise my arm above my head without any pain.
I still had to be careful reaching behind me, but that seemed to be getting better too.
It no longer hurt to sleep at night. When I woke up in the morning, my shoulder felt pretty good.
Little by little, my painful problem went away.
My wife no longer has to do everything around the house. I can rebound the basketball for my son. I can even use both arms to drive a car again.
Maybe these small, white dots will work for you the way they have for me?
It's better than having to see a shoulder specialist, don't you think?
